A pint.
A conversation.
A fresh perspective.

The idea

Make room for
a better conversation.

Pints & Perspectives brings people together to explore everyday life through a different lens. A familiar pub. An open conversation. Space to listen, question and share.

Our first event, Finding Your Frequency, draws on Hakan’s experience in music, hospitality and writing to explore what we notice, what we absorb and how we choose to live.

No specialist knowledge needed. Just curiosity—and whatever you like to drink.

01 / SOUND

What are you listening to?

From the music we choose to the noise around us, explore the place sound has in our routines, memories and sense of atmosphere.

02 / MINDSET

What gets your attention?

Step back from the daily rush. Talk about habits, perspective and the small choices that shape how we experience a day.

03 / EVERYDAY LIFE

What nourishes your day?

Food, surroundings, company and quiet moments. An invitation to notice the ordinary things that give life its texture.

Our first conversation

Finding Your
Frequency.

A three-hour hosted evening

A relaxed talk and discussion led by Hakan, with time to ask questions and hear other people’s experiences.

“Frequency” is our starting point for exploring sound, attention and everyday life. Bring your own perspective—agreement is never a condition of taking part.

Expect conversation, reflection and a welcoming atmosphere. This is a speaking event, rather than a DJ set or DJ lesson.

PART ONE

Listen & explore

Meet Hakan and open the conversation about music, sound and the environments we spend time in.

PART TWO

Pause & reflect

A break, a drink and room to consider our habits, surroundings and what matters to us.

PART THREE

Question & connect

Open discussion and Q&A. Share a thought, ask a question or simply listen.

Meet the founder

Hakan. A life of
listening to people.

With more than 20 years across music and hospitality, Hakan has spent much of his life bringing people together. He is a DJ, producer and author of three books, with a curiosity that reaches beyond the dance floor.

Pints & Perspectives gives that curiosity a different home: the local pub. His role is to open the conversation, share experience and make room for yours.

What might we notice if we gave ourselves a little more time to listen?

  • A conversation led by Hakan, shaped for your space.
  • A chance to discuss dates, capacity and promotion together.

We’re starting conversations with venues across Lincolnshire. Tell us about your pub and the evening you have in mind.

A few good questions

Before you pull up a chair.

Do I need to know anything about sound?

No. These conversations are for curious people, whatever their background. Technical knowledge isn’t needed, and questions are welcome.

Do I have to drink alcohol?

No. Order whatever you enjoy. The conversation matters more than what’s in your glass.

Is this a music performance?

Finding Your Frequency is a hosted talk, discussion and Q&A. Hakan draws on his music experience, but the event is not a DJ performance or a DJing course.

When can I book a place?

Dates, venue details and ticket information will appear here once confirmed. For an enquiry in the meantime, contact Hakan at info@bestdj.org.

Is it a wellbeing treatment?

No. It is a social and educational conversation drawing on lived experience. It does not offer medical advice or claim that particular frequencies can treat health conditions.
